new forum suggestion

Linux Philosophy

where we can mull over, ponder, thrash out and generally chew the fat
over all things that are philosophical and penguin related.

I like it but isn't that what we do in General? I mean, that's not a Linux-specific forum but all the Linux-philosophy threads in Linux General get moved there because they're non-technical. Or do you mean a specifically, "Pipes are symbolic of the interconnectedness of all things and 'everything's a file' is quite egalitarian' rather than 'MS sux!' kind of forum?

I still want a kernel forum.

yes

and the philosophy of Linux regarding other things,
open source
pirating
mp3 and ogg
cd ripping

and whatever else may come

one thing it would not do
would be tolerate endless "microsoft haha" threads

just pure Linux and what it means ethically, politically, socio-politically, morally and so on

(damn, since using Linux I've had to stop using etc as a way of saying "and so on" in case someone thinks I'm referring to the dir etc.)
