If you post your question in the wrong forum, or in multiple different forums, or post in a language other than English, or if you post something inappropriate (including foul language, insults, etc.) or if you hijack another thread, or if you somehow fail to adhere to the LQ Rules then you will encounter a Moderator. Moderators browse the forums just like every other member does, and we see the same posts as everyone else, so if there's something that needs moderating, we will find it sooner or later and take corrective action.
I like being a mod here because of what I feel is a friendly and professional forum.
I don't have full control. I can't read every post and can't wear someone's shoes for a mile to know their feelings.
My opinion and I feel that jeremy's position is that the technical areas are to be business professional. You do run a risk going to General non-*nix forum. That area has been very open.
I will edit out any of the issues that that don't comply with LQ's rules if I see them and warn the users. The other mods will to if they see them would be my opinion also.
I can swear like a sailor when I need to, as when I drop a bowling ball on my foot, but I cannot grok the folks who cannot express themselves without profanity.
problem with op:
it's a troll.
and it's a hallmark of the classical internet troll to feign ignorance, innocence and hurt when they get the (negative) reaction they're constantly digging for.
I enjoy this forum, it has a lot of really smart people contributing.
I have found that overall, this is the cleanest, easy going forum I've been a member of.
A lot of thanks goes to the old standbys(you know who) who have been here for a long time, as they can identify a troll very quickly and generally take care of it before it becomes a serious problem.

Both the LQ Rules and our actions should make clear that we don't "tolerate bad words, insults, lack of respects" and that we "really care about moderation". If you have a specific case that you'd like to take a look at do feel free to post about it here, use the Report functionality, or contact me directly.
