linux answer no longer links to the main grub post

Mods

I thought my answer bit was or should remain, a link to the real thread on my rough tutorial.

It now appears to be just one old thread and at my normal thread site I have made updates.

Now I am still a human and likely to make more updates especially when I can finally get my hands on a new computer.

Any chance of deleting that post in the answer section and making it a link to the real post?

answer link

the ongoing ever changing post

I do agree that my vain attempts to improve the original means a loooong post but it may minimise persons having to post a query if they saw the improved version??

Well, I'd rather not delete it, but if you have a snapshot that you'd like me to update the LA with, I can do that. You may also want to enter it into the LQ Wiki.

Sorry for any aussie lack of English skills. I was trying to suggest that to save work for mods, rather than delete a text file and insert a new one that the Answer link just re-routes to the other link.

And as I have edit powers at the original site, I can happily edit there and know its mirrored in the answer bit?

As I am accountable for my posts, and you replied to this thread, can I mention OFFTOPIC that I have sent you a email thru LQ on a quiz matter, but as I am not a contributor of money so you can not pm me if you choose to reply,

I am more than happy for you to reply here if you do not want to use my real email address.

Others, not knowing what I doing with grub, I am spending less time with grub as I am busy researching my new computer. Just as mods are snowed under with work, I too am attempting to manage my time so am sorry to suggest I will not immediately follow up Jeremy's suggest on wiki or other matters. This is of course arrogant to suggest that you should in any way view me as a grub devotee who has limited hardware and limited windows distro experience.

Forgive any perceived rudeness to this thread if you can.

aus9,

The system isn't setup to have an LA redirect to a thread. It's not a problem for me to update the LA for you though. Thanks.

I have finally taken David Ross' suggestion and bb coded my original.

Can you just copy and paste this into LA?
