Question How about a shell script archive?

Hi,

just wondering if anyone has thought about setting up a shell script archive forum w/ sub forums for various kinds of scripts? This would be similar to something like Sun's BigAdmin script archive.

I've found this forum to be a very good source for linux information and thought this feature could add to it.

Of course I would be most willing offer some of my own shell scripts to the cause.

Thanks,

even if this isn't added as a "feature" per se, you could always check out the LQ wiki and place them in there.

On a side note, both Gentoo's official documentation and http://www.gentoo-wiki.com have quite a selection of scripts broken into documents... for example, the lid switch was misbehaving on my Dell laptop, and I found a script to rectify it on Gentoo-wiki.

Gentoo being a source distribution, most of the scripts are adaptable to any distribution as long as you have a good idea of what you're actually doing (or trying to do).
