Forum for Linux on Mac?

Greetings

I am trying to find a forum for installing Linux on a G4 Ibook laptop as I have some questions before I start

I do not see a forum for this type of machine?

Is there one? Am I missing it?

I don't want to ask on the laptop forum if I am not supposed to

thanks!!!

There is no sub-forum for anything related to a Mac. Which distribution of Linux are you using? You could go to that sub-forum and ask or post in the General or Newbie sub-forum. Never used a Mac so I have no idea what you're talking about. Googling the machine you refer to got a number of links including the one below so doing an online search could be promising while waiting for a response.

I did find a few things but I thought the experts here would be the place go. You all helped me greatly with getting Mint on my old Dell laptop

This is my daughters old Ibook. It was sitting in the closet ready for the dumpster, I thought I would try to revive it

This article looks interesting, I will read it

thanks

Linux is Linux in all its infinite variety. (Where have I heard something like that before).

As installing Linux on a Mac is basically dealing issues with a particular bit of hardware, I'd be inclined to think that a question of this nature would fit best in the Hardware forum. If there's sufficient interest for a sub-forum, putting it under "Hardware" would be my recommendation, for what little it's worth.

Just my two cents.

Thanks for the feedback. Installing Linux on any hardware (Mac or otherwise) should be sufficiently covering by the current forum stricture.
