This is a very minor feature I miss from the old LQ, but here goes:
Earlier whenever you clicked the number of replies, you had a popup window showing the users who posted in a particular thread. Alongside their names, you got also a number which showed how many posts they had in that thread. Fine, that feature is still there.
However, earlier, that number beside each name used to have a link, which, if you clicked, showed you the individual posts made by that user in that particular thread. Now that link no longer exists, and it's not possible to see how a particular user responded to a thread. Rather I have to go searching for that user's posts in that particular thread.
Hope this is not confusing. Those who have used that feature will understand.

Chinaman, the RSS feeds on the new site are updated more often, not less often. It's possible that our focus on answering 0 reply posts means more of them have replies before the feed is updated even tough the update rate is more frequent. archtoad6, as soon as possible. Anyone who was subscribed to the 0 reply mail will just start to get it as soon as we re-implement it. We didn't lose your subscription information.

Chinaman, All the RSS feeds should be updated more frequently now (we used to cache them much more aggressively). We're working on some hardware issues now that will allow us to cache a little less, enable search for all and generally provide a better LQ experience.
jonaskoelker, I've moved your thread to the appropriate forum. Since it's about LQ itself, it should be in WS&F.

The 0 Reply Search should be significantly improved now. The caching is 0 and the number of results you can get has been vastly increased. Thanks for this should go directly to david, who was able to implement this in a way that added pretty much no extra strain on the servers.
0 Reply Threads from the Main Menu on the right hand side of the web page >>>> is listing them last to first, so the first one listed is from 08-27-00 08:29 AM by jeremy and the last one listed was Today 02:53 PM by nguyennh. I guess the Ascending / Descending order is reversed.
The Latest Threads RSS Feed is way behind, also. Just reloading Live Bookmark at 15:00 local time gave me the last thread posted at 13:30 local time. Same thing happened with my RSS bookmark and this link > http://feeds.feedburner.com/linuxquestions/latest
And again, I'm trying to find a user, but I can't exactly remember his nick. The autocomplete on user names in the Search field just doesn't work sometimes, and when it does, it's sometimes slow. And when I go to the list of Slackware users, which I know he is, I get some 159 pages. And on that page it has a # sign and the letters A -Z, sort of a tease that you can sort. However, clicking on any of that displays "Sorry! The administrator has disabled the list of members."

An update for those members who do not like the new functionality of "View New Posts". We have now added "View Latest Threads" to the Quick Links nav up top. By default this will show you all threads from the last week, but you can easily change that. This search doesn't do the caching that "View New Posts" does, so it will never time out. It will also allow you to easily go back to arbitrary times if you have, for instance, let a session expire without being able to see all the new posts since your last visit. In addition to the "0 replies" rewrite we recently did, this should now make all functionality superior to any previous version of LQ, with you having the choice to use the implementation that suits your browsing habits.
