Can you give an example or provide a link to the posts?

Typically it doesn't appear on the thread starter or your own posts. Also, there are forums where it isn't enabled, e.g. Non-*Nix->General.

Really great post Sasha

So I 1st gave you positive reputation, & then for good measure clicked the helpful link.

BTW, if anyone wants to both, "Reputation" must be done before "Helpful".

So we have new dilemma -- what is each for? If, & I stress if, there could be a clear understanding of the distinctions between the 3, I would be in favor of bringing back the "Thanks" as well, but that idea is for another thread.
