i noticed this on my win98 machine when on the site, i usually have a cookie to auto login, but when i login using IE, after the username, i either click with mouse in the password or tab over and there is about a 5 second delay before i can type in my password and then click login button.. it like freezes IE for that 5 seconds..

so i test it with netscape it does just fine, no delay.

i then tested other sites using IE with a login and password and it does fine with no delay.

so i want to ask, anyone else come across this, does it happen to anyone else when using IE. it also does it on the login for the linuxquestions.net email..

this never happens when using linux though...

just puzzled on why it would do this and only on this site and linuxquestions free email login prompts...


also to add, whenever i am cookied and i type in http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions for the forums without the ending / after questions, it doesn't recognize me, if i refresh the page or add the / at the end, it recognizes me.. no big deal though.. not sure why it would do that though.
