sometimes i want to delete my own post in a thread. i want to know whether it is possible.
other boards that i visit (based on vBulletin) have this checkbox when you click on "Edit" which allows you to delete the post but i can't find it here. any ideas as to how i can do it.
And before you ask why not, we sort of like to keep the integrity of the forum and threads intact. It is a database that members and people can search, if one member goes back and deletes his or her posts/threads, it can cause confusion, etc.
This leads to other issues as well...
We would like even since you can edit to never go back and delete your question if you found and answer elsewhere but never got replies, we would actually prefer to followup even to your own post with the solution you found as it could help someone in the future who might have the same problem...
Hope this helps explaining why we do, what we do here..
