Blogs: "category (re)assignment options"

Currently when writing a new blog, the category has to be already created in order to assign the new post to it. This leaves me either having to save it first or do extra clicking around in order to assign a block entry to a category. Additionally, if you post your blog, and later want to categorize it, you have to create the new entry then you have to edit the blog then click the category.

It would be nice to have a set up similar to the tag field and 'edit tag' options that make adding them in a bit more intuitive.

However, that sounds like a lot of work... perhaps another nice feature would be to have an 'add blog' button some where on the Blog Categories Edit page.

-----

A bit off topic, but now that I'm looking at the Edit page for the Blog Categories, the Blog Entries column have '0' for both my categories even through there is at least one blog in each.

------

Thanks for all the hard work

You should submit these types of requests or features to the LQ Bug or Projects section.

Either/or is right. If you think it's a bug, the link Trickykid posted is correct - it keeps them all in one place and allows Jeremy to track them (ditto for feature requests). Jeremy will still see the problem if you post here though.

Oh, I didn't say posting here was wrong, but then again, the forum description hasn't changed since the beginning of the site. It was there long before the bug tracker and feature request option in it were around.

Perhaps it's time Jeremy to change the title to just Feedback and tell members to post feature requests and bugs to the bug tracker.
