Can't you add an option "( ) Any combination of tar / rsync / bash / perl / whatever-native-linux-tool"
It was removed from the list, but that does not mean it isn't use anymore.
Next to Opera and Vivaldi I use "Iron" instead of Chrome/Chromium, as it has less issues and is much faster. Don't know if you want to consider it added

I noticed ToME2 is listed, but I wonder if that is really what was nominated for 2021 as that's a quite old ascii version and not seeing any significant development in 2021. The author has long since rewrote it and restarted version numbers again but currently doesn't really reference any of that history, just usually refers to it as ToME, not tome4.
So perhaps instead list "Tales of Maj'Eyal (aka ToME)" or just ToME, unless you really actually do mean the ascii tome2....

Maybe "Chrome/Chromium and its various forks" would be a good label.

I think not a good idea. There are significant differences between Chrome, Chromium, Brave, Microsoft Edge, etc. They shouldn't all be lumped together. If any are worthy of nomination that aren't already listed, add them. I think that appears to be what I've seen so far, so if someone wants to nominate "Iron" (i.e. suggest it in this thread) it'll get added...
I just dunno when the voting starts, maybe next year?
