Freelance Server Administrator Required

Dear -admin,

My name is Agust Gudbjornsson and I´m located in Denmark, Aalborg.

Me, along with few others run a small company here in Denmark called
Nebonmedia which focuses on webdesign and other related design and
visual areas.

Currently we run small server for our services which is located at
Layered Technologies, USA.

We are in need of reliable, and solid person who we can talk with either
over skype, msn or other channels when something goes wrong.

We need to be able to communicate when needed meaning this person will
need to be in similar timezone as our workday in case something goes
wrong, CET (London, Copenhagen etc.).

This would be per "issue" based, and est. price given before start.

Server info:
CPU - GenuineIntel, Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz
Version - psa v8.1.0_build81070201.15 os_CentOS 4.2
OS - Linux 2.6.9-34.EL

Job requirement:
* Good knowledge over MySQL and Apache
* Good knowledge over spam security
* Good/familiar knowledge over PLESK
* Good English is required

Looking forward to hear from you ,-)

The U.S. is a huge country - it seems as if you are requiring a person local to the server. I noticed Layered is based in Texas. Texas alone is the size of many European countries. Given all that you might wish to specify the location (at least metropolitan area) where the server is to narrow your search.

Well, those who are nearby our area and timezone reply, I just did see any reason to point that out sense it´s obvious regarding my location, it really doesnt matter where the server is located.

But point taken, I have hired administrator that contacted me because of this thread from France.

Best to you,

Sorry I guess I missed the point in your ad. I thought you were seeking someone near the location of the equipment willing to work on a CET schedule as needed. It appears you were just looking for anyone in the CET schedule not someone in proximity to the server.

The author's March 4th post shows the position was filled by hiring someone in France.

ha! I've administered UNIX and Linux servers for about the last 8 years and I don't think I could properly look after a Windows 2003 server...even with a GUI for EVERYTHING...
