I found Galeon to be my new browser, quick as IE, stable as Mozilla.

As the title says, after I could not get sound in flash media in mozilla or firefox, I tried out this little guy, which was sitting in the corner eager to be a part of the browser bunch. Well, firefox is now in that corner. Galeon does not seem to have all the features firefox has, but it is quick and actualy does not have that flash/audio bug (if it is one) that firefox/mozilla has. I am happy to say that I have shown my family at a party of mine hours of video online with audio, and no crashes with Galeon. I would readily reccommend this program, if I tested it more extensively, though, give it a try if you want something lightweight and featureless like IE.

awesome ill check it out now. I cant say I have ever had problems with firefox and flash... well maybe portable firefox, but that was at school and we didn't have permission to write to the registry which firefox wanted to do when installing the plugin.

I recently gave portable firefox to my brother and he has passed it on to quite a number of people, so the M$ dominated network at his school now has a little open software... its not much but it still a start, lol.

(BTW, he was telling me last week that many people have been banned for using the open source portable software such as abiword, firefox etc because its not licensed to the school ??? that's quite strange, i thought it was licensed to everyone)

Anyways it's great to hear that you found an alternative open solution Shows that there really is open software that will meet everyones needs!

Hey, my sibling has a problem with mozilla on her Mac. Same as with mine, no audio in flash. She uses OS X 10.1.something, so this is more then likely a bug with Mozilla. Quick search brings up similar problems.
