Got java plugin working for firefox 3.6

For anyone who just updated to firefox 3.6, you may notice that your Java plugin no longer works. A bit of Googling revealed the solution. The symbolic link you have probably been using ( for me a line to /opt/java/jre/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so ) no longer works. I keep mine in /usr/lib/firefox/plugins. Go ahead and delete it:
#cd ( to where your symbolic link is for libjavaplugin_oji.so )
#rm libjavaplugin_oji.so
You will need the JRE version at least 1.6.0.10. Create your symbolic link to the new lib that works:
( this is my path; adjust to your JRE )
#ln -s /opt/java/jdk1.6.0_21/jre/lib/i386/libnpjp2.so libnpjp2.so

Restart firefox, and your Java plugin should now work.

Good luck!
