animatrix & linux

not sure where this belongs so I post it here. this is on a redhat 8 box. you've seen the discussions of animatrix but you can't seem to get it to work with mplayer. forget using your browser and just grab a copy.

if you already have a copy of mplayer going then you just need the last rpm (mplayer-codecs-win32-qt-6.0-2.i386.rpm).

i had to do this manually in redhat 9. Installed libsndfile and faad2. Faad2 required a patch to finnish compiling. Then mplayer would play with aac sound. Are these rpms ok for redhat 9?
