Hello! from New Jersey, USA

I have been a Linux zealot and user since 1995. At that time installing a graphical desktop was a real adventure, and getting connected via whopping 14.4K modem to the net entailed messing with ppp scripts. I clearly remember that magical moment when I finally got connected, clicked on that underlined blue thing, and a completely other page appeared on the screen. It was a defining moment for me.

Now I am at home (blew out my back) and I administrate a ridiculously over-engineered home network. I use Linux day-to-day, and only have a Win partition for Photoshop CS5. I also putter with embedded development in C/C++ and Java on a variety of architectures, most recently for Android.

I'm looking forward to helping and being helped!

Mark

If I buy a sports jersey and sit in the stands during a game do you think the coach will confuse me with a player and send me in?

Yep; reported about an hour and a half after their initial post. A moderator even made a 'joke' about it, but the post remains.
