wpasupplicant: operation not supported error

Hi, I'm using Ubuntu "Breezy" and have built ipw2200 1.0.6 and ieee80211 1.03 for the Ubuntu 2.6.12-8-686 kernel source. During boot wpasupplicant prints:
Code:
ioctl[SIOCSIWPMKSA]: Operation not supported
Despite this my wireless network (using WPA-PSK) connection still works and there are no noticeable problems.

Is it safe to ignore the message or should I be concerned that the encryption isn't working properly or something like that

I think you're fine. Think about it this way:

If your router is set up properly, it's secure and a mis-configured client could not connect. Since you can, you're OK.

Why the error? This is a BFG - big, fat guess - but I think it's simply a matter of the order of things. Wpa_supplicant is trying to run before the IPW driver is up and running. You might try changing when the supplicant starts to see if my theory holds water. Me? I'd ignore the error if things work.
