Wireless problem while connecting two computers via a ethernet cable
Hello,
I want to connect a PC (Debian Sarge) and a laptop
(Ubuntu Edgy with network manager),
via a ethernet cable. Each computer have a wireless card working properly.
I connected the two computers using the cable with success by modifying the
/etc/network/interfaces files on both, the laptop:
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 10.10.10.1
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 10.10.10.2
and and the computer with Debian:
auto ath0
iface ath0 inet static
address 10.10.10.2
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 10.10.10.1
The problem is that the wireless no longer have access Internet; this
occurs in the two computers; However, both can see the available wireless networks on the LAN and ping well to my desktop computer. When I unplug the cable, the two wireless work fine again.
Can I connect the two computers this way while having a Internet connection with the wireless? and if so, How would I do that?
Best regards and thanks in advance for your response,
Héctor.
