Exclamation RTL8822BE wireless adapter on Lenovo Thinkpad E480 only works with SystemD init

Hello,
My RTL8822BE wireless adapter on a Lenovo Thinkpad E480 appears to only work with SystemD. I want to install Slackware but this is holding me back from using it full time, I also checked to see if it works on other init systems, I have tried the Slackware init, runit and OpenRC init but it still fails to detect the WiFi adapter.

P.S. I know that it is an init problem, because the runit and OpenRC tests were done on Arch Linux and yet again, the WiFi adapter only worked on SystemD.

That makes no sense. Instead, start by making sure that the driver (and firmware) is loaded with the OS of your choice....
Code:
lspci -nnk|egrep -iA3 "wireless|network"
Code:
dmesg | egrep -i "rtl8822be|firmware"
Wireless network device node present?
Code:
ip link
If that checks out, move on finding out why you can't get the device associated with the desired network.

It's always best if you post requested commands and output rather than just posting your descriptions or interpretations of what you think is happening. We're not over your shoulder to look for ourselves. If the machine has no internet connectivity, consider copying the output to a text file and transfer via a memory stick to a machine that does have such connectivity so that you can post the unadulterated output here.
