[SOLVED] Right Steps to modify Makefile.in (ns2) and run??

Greetings LQ,

Ins ns2.35, I made some modifications to the needed files including Makefile.in

Code:

$mv Makefile Makefile.orig
$ make clean
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found.  Stop.

So I did this:

Code:

$ mv Makefile.0640 Makefile
$ make clean
Makefile.in is newer than Makefile.
You need to re-run configure.
false
make: *** [Makefile] Error 1

I looked for in the web, all that says is ./configure ; make clean; make
But I am currently stuck in the loop.

What should I do,? What is the right procedure for modifying Makefile in ns2 and run?
Please someone who had this problem tell me how to get out?

Alhamdolillah I made it,

I should not do "make clean; make"
What I need to do (after modifications) is to run ./install from ns-allinone-x.x directory

Then in eclipse, this will work just fine..
Project > Clean
Project > Build All..
Run > Run Configurations: ....Run

And the modified code is ready!!!

I am testing the new code from the terminal.
