MAC address problems

This seems to be a recurring problem for me and wireless cards in generals. I've tried three different types of wireless cards in my Fujitsu laptop and all three have yielded the same disappointing results: MAC could not be enabled, failed to read mac address...you get the picture. I've tried two Cisco Aironet 350s, a D-Link DWL-650 (the fish-tail one), and a CableTron RoamAbout. With all these cards, they HAVE worked at one time, but once I turn off my laptop, they cease to function. I've tried upgrading and downgrading the firmware in the Cisco card and nothing. This may be a hardware problem, but I'm posting it under wireless because my network and modem pcmcia cards work fine. If anyone has any ideas, please please share. I'm becoming very frustrated with this thing.

Thanks

WOW!! Thank you so much!! First thing found in google solved my problem in literally 2 mins. I had no idea it had to do with invalid ports. Thank you so much!!
