Fedora Core5 wireless setup

I am running

Fedora Core 5
Kernel 2.6.17-1.2174_FC5
Broadcom BCM 4306 (dell truemobile 1300)

Fedora has it listed under network configuration

but i can not connect to my router

from what i have read the 2.6.17 fedora kernel supports my chipset, but i believe i have to edit some config files.

Question: What files do i need to edit? Or what do i need to do?

Or what do i need to do?
Check out the LQ HCL: http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/showcat.php/cat/202.
Read this: http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/showcat.php/cat/202
Try, test and if it fails get enough detailed error messages.
Then search LQ for those. If none or unclear just post.
