Hi there,
I've had quite a few problems in getting wireless up and running but I now have it. Trouble is that the way I've got things working feels really sloppy and was wondering if anyone could give me a few tips on what to do next time
.
To try and get my wireless card started and an IP address assigned on startup I just went into /etc/conf.d/net and did this:
Code:
# Global config file for net.* rc-scripts
# This is basically the ifconfig argument without the ifconfig $iface
#
iface_eth0="dhcp"
modprobe ndiswrapper
iface_wlan0="dhcp"
dhcpcd wlan0
When I startup everything does work, I have wireless access with an IP from my router but I do get an error during startup, something like:
Code:
error prossessing "unlink" in "GLOBAL"
twice just after it's loaded the ndiswrapper module. There's no proformance issue with the system, I just need to know the correct way of doing things.
Thanks,
Chris
