Cannot create working xsupplicant.conf to connect to peap-mschapv2 network

My school provides a wireless network, and includes instructions for connecting using windows and mac, even the iPhone, but not Linux.

My understanding of the important info on the network is as follows:
-802.1x over Dynamic-WEP
-PEAP-MSCHAPV2
-No fast reconnect
-No server side certificate

The provided information is here:
http://uwf.edu/helpdesk/internetaccess/wireless/
(but you'll have to click on Set Up Instructions in "3.")

I'm using xsupplicant. I would think I've got it set correctly, except that I am still not able to connect. I have followed a few different guides, altering when necessary, but I still can't get it to work.

I would have included the xsupplicant.conf I'm using, but this is my first post I don't see how.

I would have also included the output of xsupplicant in debug mode. I couldn't find what the ending errors mean; I think it just has to do with me killing the process, once it starts to loop.

Some information about my system:
Ubuntu Hardy 8.04
Wireless driver: iwl4965
Happy to provide more relevant information if asked.

I'm open to all suggestions, but "Just use Windows."

pretty simple boot your computer that little network icon top right click it enable wifi it will scan then find your schools connection click on it then it will try to connect then it will come back and ask you for the 128 wep pass phrase and then you will connect save that profile so it will work automatically next time good luck.

Its dynamic-WEP, which in my understanding means that I'm not suppose to know the hash, let alone the pass phrase. I need to enter a user name and password.
