Are Orinoco Drivers 7.12 from Agere Good?

I found drivers at Agere's Website for the Orinoco Card. I have a Orinoco Gold card with Lucent Technologies on the end.

My Question is if any one has used these drivers successfully to set it to promiscuous mode for ethereal, airsnort, and kismet. I would like to know if it will work or not.

Thanks
