(VMWare Player) USB drive isn't working
I have Ubuntu Mate on my VMWare Player. And every time I try to put a USB drive, there always an error box at the bottom right.

Does any usb work?
Did you add on the tools or guest features to the client.
What is the host?
While I don't really believe this I have seen in on other posts. Use a usb 2 port.
I have trouble sometimes when the usb isn't formatted. Sometimes I can get past it by using the usb in client settings page to attach it rather than any click on icon or menu.
