I think you can mark it solved at "Thread Tools" just above your first post. (near the top)

I don't know, I've yet to ask a question.

I don't know what OSE is? I'm curious.

This will get you started, but you got me to thinking about this entire partition perspective that I have been hung up on for so long. So I inserted my gparted and returned my HD back to its default state, NTFS only
Then I went to windows installed 4.1.2 not OSE then loaded ubuntu as a guest on windows host. Russ you created a monster
But you opened my eves even at this late date in my life

I've never used Windows as a host, so I'm afraid I can't answer that one.
