Unable to properly install guest additions on VirtualBox Linux

Hi, I'm a newbie in Linux and I have installed Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS on VirtualBox. When I try to install the guest additions from the image offered by VirtualBox, there's no error, however when I write this on the terminal

lsmod | grep vbox

the following line appears:

vboxguest        45056   0

I suspect that the guest additions are not properly installed, and I need that to share permanently files between the host and the guest. At the moment, I'm not able to do this and I have to mount the files and folders each time I start the virtual machine.
Any suggestions to make it work or to see if the guest additions are ok?
