Question Restoring an image on VMware


Hi,
I created a image from running FC10 on HP server using partimage. I can restore the image on the HP server with no issues, but if i
re-image on vmware, i get error as attached file. I remove all the extra hardware (floppy, printer...etc)from vmware. i was wondering if some one can help. thanks

Hi NetRock,

As I can understand you are running FC10 on HP machine. From that machine you created an image using partimage. If you restore this image on HP server it works fine. However, if you are try to run this image in VMware you get the errors what you have mentioned via screenshot.

Could you let us know in which format the image was exported. What the are the files which are there in the exported image. Does VMware give any error at the time you start the machine in VM. Could you paste a screenshot which holds files of this image from the machine on which you are running VMware.
