Exclamation Has any LQ'er gotten Linux sound to work under hyper-v? "Everything" was tried, but still no sound. (That's all folks.)

IDK but it looks like you could find something with this web search:
hyper-v Linux "no sound"
Or at least some additional keywords to narrow down the problem.

Best wishes! Let us know ....

P. S. Upon re-reading #1, it sounds like you may have tried all the things that that web search turns up (my apology). Maybe you could tell us some of the things that you tried, but didn't help. There's a lot of info about debugging Linux sound on physical Hardware (but I must admit that I never got mine working!!!) I was going to mention virtualbox, but I realize you may want to use hyper-v for other things and virtualbox (I believe) requires you get rid of hyper V

thanks for the swift reply

I come to the kownledge that you can't run ubuntu on windows hyper -v with sound because of their limitations and not my lack of skill. Currently I tried ghost specter super lite windows 10 stripped download version for its speed and lightness but was very cautious to run the software on my host machine so to be on the safe side I use the virtual machine hyper v. Windows 10 hyper v runs windows well but linux not fully functional.Any more advice on this subject please without delayshare .Thank you for your time and attention.
