Smile .. migration XEN VMs from one server to a server KVM ..?????


Hi everyone ..... .. I need your help ..... I have a server where I have a XEN virtual machine (paravirtualized) that need to go to another server but with KVM ... someone knows how to do this migration. ...

XEN Server
CentOS 5.5
xen-3.0.3-105.el5_5.3

KVM Server
CentOS 5.5
kvm-83-164.el5_5.25

Google "migrate xen vm to kvm" (a common question - Google even auto-filled the question for me )

.. .. Thanks for the answer ... of course I had searched in google first ... just wanted to know if someone on this board he had done ... and see that way which was the best option for migration. ....

Hi -

If you had purchased the latest/greatest Redhat Enterprise, there might be some fancy migration tool and/or an "officially recommended procedure".

But since you're on Centos (Centos 5.5), just pretty much choose whatever procedure most appeals to you, and post a new thread with any specific questions you might have or problems you might encounter.

IMHO .. PSM
