esxserver4 in vmware client 6.5


Could i Install esxserver 4 in vmware client machine ????????????
My pc configuration c2d 2.33(vtenabled),4gbddr2,(500+250+160)gb hdd.

You asking if you can run virtualization within virtualization?

You can install and run VirtualBox guests within another VirtualBox guest (I have actually tried it and it works). Not sure about VMWare or the others though.

ESX has a very strict hardware requirements to even get through the installation process though, so I doubt you will have much luck.
Try it and let us know if you have any success

Cool! I mean, that's very interesting from an academic point of view.

Though I can't imagine any practical use.

used this setup with 2 virtual esxs clustered and edited vmx files of both for shared storage (google for this) to study for the VCP, finished the exam in 20 minutes
