Configuring USB Device Alias Or Descriptor To Allow For Easier Association In ESXi

Good Morning Everyone,

I am looking to find a way to change the device alias or device descriptors of USB hardware connected to the system.

The reason why I am looking to do this, is I have a lot of virtual PCs running in ESXi. These virtual machines are associated to USB wireless dongles. They sometimes lose their association and it's a pain to get them all back to the wireless dongles they're supposed to be on. The wireless dongles all (maybe about 50 of them) show up as "Realtek 802.11n Wireless NIC". I was wondering if I could configure each USB device with an alias or descriptor to allow the ESXi vSphere Client to see "PC1", "PC2", "PC3", and so on, instead of their actual description. This would allow me to properly associate each wireless NIC to the PC properly.

Thank you very much in advance for the assistance. If you have any questions, please let me know.
