CentOS 7.9 and KVM
OK, I understand that I have about a year to move from CentOS 7 to ???. So I've decided to build a Rocky Linux virtual machine to examine what it does and doesn't do for me.
The question I have is what "os-variant" i.e. what to define???
What else should I be aware of?

Took me a bit to figure what you wanted. You mean you are trying to build or create a VM using a wizard? Just pick Centos or RH or something even like generic linux 64. Before you boot you can adjust memory and drives and such.
