Wow, people from Washington.... who actually think of Washington as NOT being DC... I am from the other side of the state. AKA Spokane.

Smile WA State LUGs

Our Olympia Linux group is a special interest group of the Olympia Microcomputer Users Group--the GNU/Linux SIG. We meet every Tuesday evening 7 - 9 p.m. at the Olympia Community Center downtown--upstairs in the computer lab. Address: 222 Columbia St. NW. See http://www.olymug.org/Linux.htm for more info. We focus on Ubuntu-- installations, how-to's and so on, and also learn some 'under-the-hood' stuff. It is a good group for beginners...but experienced users are very welcome! If you're near us, stop in and chat.

I did a search and found this group in Portland, OR...you might take a look. Didn't find any around Longview or Vancouver--or, well, there was one listed for Vancouver, but the link didn't load.

Good luck getting connected. Or maybe you could start a group; there may be people out there, just no one who has organized yet.

I'm a Linux user and I live in Lakewood at the moment. I'm just stationed her for military duty though so I'm not a permanent resident, but in all the time I've been here I haven't heard or seen anything about a local LUG.

Hi, dudeman--

Of course you could come to Olympia and meet with our GNU/Linux group (part of OMUG, Olympia Microcomputer Users Group)............but there is a Tacoma PC group called TAPCUG--and they have an active Linux group (special interest group)--see http://www.linux-now.us/ Joel Carlson at Fox7777(at)carlsonco(dot)net can help you get connected...he also belongs to our group in Olympia...'dual linuxship' 8^)

We'd be glad to see you--or Joel's Tacoma group would too! See our schedule at http://olymug.org

Anyone from the Yakima Valley?
I hear of a LUG in Tri-Cities, but I'm not driving that far. Put me in touch with someone here and maybe we can start our own!
