Unhappy yum unable to detect the installed packages ?


I tried to upgrade my system all the night.
at the end , it gave me these errors . Im sure that all the packages which were listed here as needed are WELL installed in my sys(Fedora Core 5).
Is thier anything i could do ? I tried excluding the packages but it gives me more packages like these!!

Go to this page: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Tools/yum and scroll down to the "Tips and Tricks" section. Find the "Alternative script" and copy it to your machine -- call it "yumnd" or something. When you run that script, it will update everything it can, except for those things that result in dependency errors or file conflicts.

At least that way you get *most* stuff updated, then you can focus on the failing parts.

thanq that solved my problem!

Thanq very much ..
yum-utils (and that lil script) rocks!!
that solved major part of my problem.. but may i know why yum says it cant find a package when one is already installed ??
