Yes, does crash every now and then. Usualy starts up fine again and rarely crashes during use. This has always been true, but I think that it's gotten better with more recent versions.

I can back that up too as I use evolution on one system. Would crash every so often but only when I close it. I found instead of using File > Close I would just hit the upper X to close out of evolution and haven't had many problems since..

What version are you using? But without any specific errors we can't tell you for sure. Try running an strace on the program from a terminal to see what is causing the crashes, etc?

I have ximian evolution 1.4. I'll run strace and post results as soon as evolution crashes.

I just started using Mandrake 9.2 and KDE. Evolution crashed every time I tried to use it. I installed Gnome and the problem with evolution didn't get any better. I ended up uninstalling Gnome and evolution. I am using Konqueror and Mozilla Mail in KDE now with no crash problems.
