x server dies...dies...dead!


My x-server (running gnome 2.10) will die every few hours or so. Here is the latest entry after a crash from /var/log/Xorg.0.log:

Perhaps you find more clues in the kernel log (usually /var/log/messages - could be different in your distribution.

Sounds like the font-database might need to be rebuilt, but I'm not sure that these messages are the "smoking gun" you're looking for. As suggested, see the other logs in /var/log...
