I can't seem to figure out how to get WineX. Do you really have to subscribe to the Transgaming website to get it? Is there another way to get WineX/Cedega for free?
you can download their cvs and make it yourself, but it is an actual paid software deal... cough up the $30 and support proprietary software =) personally i'm still wanting to see (atleast macos supported) software programs/games ported to linux... but hey... i guess i'm askin for the impossible ya?
Cool, thanks for the tip. I might try the CVS. Has anybody had much luck with running games under Wine? I know NWN and Doom 3 have Linux clients, so no biggie there. But I want to be able to play CivIII and Morrowind.
I'm looking at the CVS thing for WineX... I'm not familiar with CVS. Do I have to download every single one of these files one at a time? Is there a tar ball I can get? I don't have net at home right now, and as I understand it, to do this the easy way, I'd need CVS installed on my linux box at home and I'd need net access. I'm trying to download the source from a Win2k machine here at work.
