I have a 16-bit windows program that is giving me grief under WINE. (It's for scientific simulation, written some time by a colleague in GFA BASIC, so it would be a lot of work to rebuild this as either Linux native or 32-bit windows.)
My specific problem is that whenever I use the File->Open or File->Save commands, I get the following message:
Code:
Unhandled excpetion: privileged instruction in 16-bit code.
at which point the program crashes back to the debugger.
Running with --debugmsg +all, I found that the exception seems to be related to a call to kernel32.GetDiskFreeSpaceW "C:", but I'm not sure whether that is necessarily the problem.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
Stuart
(Additional info: I have a WINE installation (v20040309) that is generally working quite well, with various programs like Office2000, IE6SP1, Endnote and Origin all working without any problems. Running kernel 2.6.6 on Debian Sarge.)
