What differences are there between linux's and windows's ping instruction?


How to use linux's ping instruction?What the instruction can do?Why get difference results when pinging two machines of my virtual host provider?

type "ping", followed by full domain name, IP, etc.
AFAIK, ping is pinghttp://www.google.com/linux

What differences do you get?

The easiest way to find out info about Linux and Unix commands is to read the manual. You can do this by starting a console and doing "man command" e.g. "man ping". If you are not using Linux you can read man pages online by entering something like "linux man ping" on google.
