What's this? insmod block-major-25 failed

My RH 7.2 server is colo'd and the guy said after reboot he got the error message, insmod block-major-25 failed. What does that mean?

I had just installed qmail and disabled sendmail with:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/sendmail.old

The server will not boot or allow login.
What can I do to fix it or trbl shoot it?

Thanks,

360

25 block First Matsushita (Panasonic/SoundBlaster) CD-ROM

0 = /dev/sbpcd0 Panasonic CD-ROM controller 0 unit 0
1 = /dev/sbpcd1 Panasonic CD-ROM controller 0 unit 1
2 = /dev/sbpcd2 Panasonic CD-ROM controller 0 unit 2
3 = /dev/sbpcd3 Panasonic CD-ROM controller 0 unit 3

how this relates to your qmail/sendmail, don't know.

major number 25, minor number 0-3 is assigned to the panasonic/soundblaster cdrom controler card. your changes to qmail/sendmail should have had no effect on it(afaik). try disabling the cdrom in the bios and see if you can boot. then do a 'depmod -ae' from a root term. then re-enable it and see if it will boot normally.
