WEBCAM: Stickam shows black screen when Cheese shows cam

Is it possible to get stickam to work with Linux? I'm running Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon. I tried something someone suggested on the Ubuntu forum ,but the only problem is my cam is not located at /dev/vid0. How can I check where the cam is located? If you know of a way to get this working I'd appreciate the help.

Thanks.

plug in the cam and look at dmesg
sudo dmesg

It's not.

Cheese detects it, but camorama doesn't.

It's because with linux you are unable to go to settings on their webpage. But you can change the global settings at adobes website

Took me a life time to figure it out but works like a charm now
