WEBCAM: Stickam shows black screen when Cheese shows cam
Is it possible to get stickam to work with Linux? I'm running Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon. I tried something someone suggested on the Ubuntu forum ,but the only problem is my cam is not located at /dev/vid0. How can I check where the cam is located? If you know of a way to get this working I'd appreciate the help.
Look at dmesg when you unplug then plug the cam. Here you can see that I removed the module to force it to /dev/Video0
you will need to be root ...
