Verify dedicated server is not a virtual server.

I currently have a dedicated server from a hosting company, its supposed to be a dedicated box and not a virtual server but i want to verify that. What are some things to check to make sure that im not running on a virtual server.

I would install and run lshw on the server.. that should give you some pretty detailed information about the hardware.. I would think it would provide enough information for you to identify if you were on a virtual machine..
