upgraded mandriva from 2007.0 to 2007.1 and HAL refuses to start+lilo-graphic gone

Hi,

I'm running a relatively fresh install of Mandriva 2007. It was installed using the version 2007.0. I tried to upgrade it to 2007.1 (the "spring" edition of Mandriva 2007) using urpmi (basically configged the right repositories and did "urpmi.update -a && urpmi --auto --auto-select") and now three problems have arisen

1.My HAL daemon refuses to start (so no hardware detection). Ran it in non-daemon mode to get:

Code:
# hald --daemon=no --verbose=yes

2.lilo-graphic appears to be missing. Only text bootloader is there in the package repos.

Could somebody please help me? Do I have to add any additional package repos to get any missing rpms? I've configged in the standard package repos for mandriva as

Code:
# urpmq --list-media
Installation i586 CD 1
Installation i586 CD 2
Installation i586 CD 3
blacklion.rpm
escomposlinux_archivos
fensystems_2006

i suggest putting all the items you want to save in your /home/$USERS directory somewhere where they wont be deleted or lost, and doing a clean install (no upgrading) as upgrades sometimes cause problems due to residue left over from the previous distro can cause problems when upgrading (that is my experience)...
