unable to get etc directory while installing NAGIOS in Redhat 9


Hi all

i am using redhat 9

i want to configure NAGIOS-2.5

while installing packge Nagios-2.5.tar.gz.....i am using command

./configure --prefix=/usr/local/nagios/ --with-cgiurl=/nagios/cgi-bin --with-htmlurl=/nagios/ --with-nagios-user=nagios --with-nagios-group=nagios --with-command-group=nagios

make all

make install

but unable to ger etc directory under /usr/local/nagios
all other directory i am gettin like bin, sbin, var, share


please help

any option i have to apply ? at a time of compiling tar packegae

etc just contains the config files such as hosts.cfg (definition of the host names and IPs), services.cfg (definition of the services you want to monitor), contacts.cfg (definition of users to page or email) etc... (no pun intended).

I inherited an installed Nagios setup which appears to have come with base files for this but they may not be in etc since they are base files that you have to modify with your site specific information. Perhaps if you do a "find . -name services.cfg" in the directory where you untarred your download you'll find where these files are.
