tzap ERROR: could not find channel <channel name> in channel list

I hope someone can help me with this, I'm running fedora 20 with a usb tv tuner and the tzap command won't work. I've done a channel scan with w_scan using this command:
Code:
w_scan -ft -c GB -X
and it created a channels.conf file which I've attached as channels.txt. The problem is when i run tzap I get this:
Code:
# tzap -r "BBC ONE E Mid"
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
reading channels from file '/root/.tzap/channels.conf'
ERROR: could not find channel 'BBC ONE E Mid' in channel list
the channels.conf file is full of channels but it doesn't matter which channel I pick, tzap always throws this same error, it can't see the channels inside the file. I've been trawling google for hours but can't find a solution. Can anyone help?

--------------------------
update: I solved it with this command:
Code:
w_scan -ft -c GB -C UTF-8 -X >/root/.tzap/channels.conf
the magic bit that solved it was -C UTF-8
Attached Files
File Type: txt channels.txt (9.2 KB, 132 views)
