Question Trying to download the z35 driver on ubuntu 8.10

I'm using ubuntu 8.10, and I'm having trouble downloading a driver for my printer to work with. The other night I downloaded the z600 driver to work with my step dad's printer and it worked. It worked when I did the same on his computer after setting it up, also. He went out and got me a Lexmark z23 printer so I wouldn't have to use his. I went to the same place I got instructions for the z600 driver and found a page for the z23, which is actually using the z35 driver, which is here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupp...ers/LexmarkZ23

I downloaded the redhat version of the driver on the bottom of this page, the same one as the instruction page told me to: http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/do...downloads.cgi#

(When the download page came up I clicked save file, if that matters) then I went to type in the commands that the instruction page told me to, and here is what I got:

julie@JulieMonster:~$ tar -xvzf CJLZ35LE-CUPS-2.0-1.TAR.GZ
tar: CJLZ35LE-CUPS-2.0-1.TAR.GZ: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
julie@JulieMonster:~$ tail -n +143 lexmarkz35-CUPS-2.0-1.gz.sh > install.tar.gz
tail: cannot open `lexmarkz35-CUPS-2.0-1.gz.sh' for reading: No such file or directory

Which seems odd to me, because I can clearly see the file as an icon on my desktop. What am I doing wrong?

Linux is case sensitive.Type CJLZ35LE-CUPS-2.0-1.TAR.GZ as cjlz35le-cups-2.0-1.tar.gz.Also you have to be in the right directory,meaning the one where you've downloaded the file.

Open terminal and enter;
Code:
cd /home/you/Desktop
where you have to replace "you" with your name.
