Hello,

does everyone know where to find a good and detailed description (with examples!) for dealing with transcode? What I want to do: Understanding how it works! (Ok, I use a vob file and want to make a mpeg, xvid ... file. At the moment the video is ok, but the audio is going in a sepearte file!)

Hello,

this is the default behavior of transcode.
Transcode assumes you want to prepare the file for (S)VCD or DVD. (demuxing)

To rip the movie as xvid from the DVD I would use "mencoder" from the "MPlayer" suite.
This is very fast with a lot of options and filters. There are a lot of GUIs available. (http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design7/projects.html)

Hello,

no, I have found my problem: I have made a mistake so the mp3 file was exported seperately. Now it works fine with xvid. I use xine so I have no mplayer installed.
