Unhappy Text based installer

Hi,
Recently, I am looking for a text based installer to provide an interface for the user to install program, actually is to install a rpm. As you all know, we need to type a command in the console to install rpm in Linux. But I want to know whether there is a text based installer build on top of the rpm application so such installer can provide an text based interface for the user instead of in the console. What I mean is, when you install Linux for example Fedora, you can choose graphic or text mode installation. That's what I am looking for a program to create a text mode installation of rpm application.
Thanks!

Easiest thing to do is to write a little shell script. It's essentially the same thing. Just have it detect for an rpm extracting program and then continue to ask the user if they want to install, etc.

Thanks for reply.

I would like to expand a little bit about my question. I am looking for a text based GUI interface such as when you install Fedora in text mode. In the text mode installation , you will have a window form by color characters and some description and also some text based button e.g. NEXT. The text based windows will display in the middle of the screen. I try to draw a little bit of it.

here ya go -- http://freshmeat.net/projects/loki_setup/

It attempts to use gtk+ and xwindows . . . and then falls back onto an ncurses based installer . . .have no idea of its difficulty level but it should be very useful.
